CircRNA Regulation in Alzheimer’s Disease and its Potential as a Diagnostic Marker and Therapeutic Target
Aim to reveal the functional relationship of circRNA with Alzheimer's Disease and the interplay of miRNA-mRNA-mediated genetic regulatory networks.
Despite reports indicating that some circRNAs and miRNAs contribute to AD, the precise molecular mechanisms remain unknown. We plan to utilize induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) derived from AD patients and further differentiate them into neural cells at various stages and cerebral organoids to identify circRNAs and miRNAs involved in the regulation of AD throughout brain development and elucidate their underlying molecular mechanisms.
Responsibilities include literature review, culturing cells, extracting total RNA and proteins from cells, and detecting RNA and protein expression through Northern blot and Western blot methods.
